Is Runway Gen3 Text to Video more Hype than Reality?

Exploring the potential of Runway Gen3 has been an eye-opener. The internet is flooded with dazzling images generated by this tool, sparking curiosity and excitement.

However, my hands-on experience reveals a mixed bag. Achieving precise control over image specifications is challenging. Runway Gen3 often produces "hallucinations"—dreamlike and frequently unusable visuals. While these outputs can be funny, they fall short of professional standards.

In contrast, Luma Dream proves more practical for professional use at this point.I’ve found success by combining Midjourney for image specification and Luma for video production. Runway's text-to-video feature, on the other hand, remains unpredictable.

A video showcasing my experiments illustrates these points. Runway Gen3's hallucinations can be entertaining, with misspelled words and translucent imagery. 

Yet, there are moments when its dreamlike quality produces incredible visuals, like the Baby Kaiju featured below.  I have both final outputs and their original prompts in the video below.
